This feature is super flexible, allowing you to invoice all or just some of the items listed in the original quote.

The best part? All the relevant information, such as items, pricing, and customer details, is automatically included in the invoice, so you don’t need to re-enter the data manually.

This not only ensures accuracy but also speeds up the entire billing process!

Xero Invoicing Limitations

Xero Invoicing Limitations

As you can see, Xero Invoicing is certainly a powerful tool with impressive and easy-to-use features.

However, it does have some limitations that may not be suitable for all business types:

  • Basic plan invoice limit: The ‘Early’ plan only allows you to create 20 invoices and five bills per month.
  • Import limits: For optimal performance, Xero suggests importing only 1,000 monthly invoices and no more than 500 daily invoices.
  • Manual reconciliation: If a manual payment is applied to an invoice, it can’t be rolled back (until the payment is first removed).
  • Deleting invoices: You can’t delete invoices due to accounting software regulations. Instead, you must void invoices.

These limitations may impact businesses (depending on the size and nature).

In saying that, most small and medium business owners find Xero’s invoicing features perfect for day-to-day invoicing tasks!

Is Xero Invoicing the best invoicing software for you? The answer is…..it depends!

Xero’s built-in invoicing tool certainly has a lot to offer, with its user-friendly interface, robust invoicing features, and intuitive mobile app.

I highly recommend Xero Invoicing for teams looking for an easy-to-use invoicing tool and a fully functional accounting software.

Additionally, Xero is a great invoicing tool for automating payment reminders, sending and creating recurring invoices in bulk, and offering flexible payment options.

While Xero’s invoicing features work well for most small to medium businesses, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best invoicing solution for you.

If you’re simply looking for a basic invoicing tool and don’t also require a fully-fledged accounting solution, paying for a Xero subscription probably isn’t worth it.

Also, if you have a high volume of invoices (and are on a budget) or simply handle large imports, you might want to consider a Xero alternative.
